Delivery & Returns

Orders are processed within 24 hours and every effort is made to dispatch within 48 hours. Most orders are sent via Royal Mail, for orders over 2.5kg deliveries are made by MyHermes or DPD GeoPost 48hr courier (for UK delivery).

Please note that two attempts will be made to re-deliver all DPD sent packages and after that they will be kept at a local depot for 5 days for collection. We do advise customers to please provide a delivery address where all packages can be received as once orders have been returned to us a re-delivery charge of £6.00 will be incurred.

Delivery Charges

Mainland UK

Our standard delivery is £4.00 per order. Next Working Day Delivery - £7.50 per order. The postage and packing charge is per order regardless of the numbers of items ordered. Even though some of our products are very small and light our contract with Royal Mail and DPD means we have to pay the same amount for every parcel we send and the £4.00 charge reflects that.
Highlands & Islands, Chanel Islands and Northern Ireland
Customers will be subject to an additional charge to receive delivery for some larger items.

Countries outside UK

Deliveries to all countries outside the UK are charged by weight.

If you are in the armed forces and require goods to be sent to a BFPO address this is charged at standard UK rate regardless of the destination and delivery times may vary.
If we have a valid email address for you, you will receive a confirmation email once your goods have been despatched.

Free Postage and Packing or any "one off" offers regarding free delivery only apply to UK.

Returns Policy


We offer a 14 Day Money Back Guarantee on everything we sell. If for any reason the products you receive are unsuitable for your purpose, return them to us (unused and in their original packaging) within 14 days of receipt and we will replace the goods or refund payment.

How to Return


If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, and it's within 28 days of receiving it - please complete the Exchange/Returns form that is sent with your order and return the items to us.
When returning an item, please make sure you include: your full name and contact details, the reason for returning the goods and your instructions as to what you would like us to do (refund or exchange, and if an exchange the item you would prefer).

For items delivered by Royal Mail in the UK, please return the items using our FREEPOST returns address. Our returns address is Returns Dept. Independence Ltd, 5E Lancaster Way, ELY CB6 3NW.
For larger items (delivered by courier and or signed for), please get in touch with us and we can explain how to return the items or arrange a collection.

For items delivered outside the UK, we ask that you pay the postage to return goods to us but if you need an exchange we will pay the cost of posting goods back out to you.
For a full refund, goods must be returned to us as soon as possible, in their original packaging, undamaged, and in a saleable condition.

What to do after 28 Days


Outside of the 28 Day period, if any of our products have failed you in any way, please contact us and we can discuss the options.

Returning Gifts


We do not offer refunds or exchanges on items you were given as a gift.

Faulty Goods


If you're returning goods because they are faulty or were received in a damaged condition, please contact, so that we can process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If the goods are faulty or damaged on receipt, or a fault occurs within 28 days after you receive them, we'll replace the goods or refund your money, as you prefer. This excludes products where the fault has been caused by damage, misuse, neglect, repair or modification by you the customer.

Late Delivery


We generally allow 10 working days from dispatch before we resend a parcel so if you have not received the delivery by then please call 01353 667722 or email us and we will send your goods again.

If you have not already done so, it is worth checking with your local Royal Mail delivery office to see if they are holding your parcel. Occasionally cards are not left when deliveries fail.
